What a difference a week makes! First, I have finished editing Illusion of Truth. I’m now working with my graphic designer for a new cover, along with back copy, and the like. While that’s going on, I will be proof-reading the book as well. You’d think that after reading the book 3 times and going through editing, I’d be done, but no. Just going through it myself I’ve found a ton of errors. I’m sure my awesome proofreader will find even more.

That said, I’m really close to being ready to publish this baby! Now, I just need a publication date. I was hoping for July, but I’m worried that I won’t have everything done by then. It’s vital that the book be great when it’s released, so I am going to put it on August 8th.

In other news, Changeling Ward is going to be published next weekend! I’ll put up a link when it is live. This is the anthology the Saturday Writers is putting out. It will be on Cheryl Corbin’s list of books. It includes three stories. One from Cheryl, one from Rachel Eliason, and one from me. Mine is a novella called Leviathan’s Creed. In it, Blake has to figure out who is killing people on board a ship bound for Frothwere.

We’ll have some days where the anthology will be free, so stay tuned and I’ll let you know when that will happen.

Finally, I’m almost done with character creation for my next short story, The Invisible. This will (hopefully) be put in an anthology with some of my cohorts at the Des Moines Writer’s Workshop. This is much shorter, only 10,000 words or less. My novels are over 90,000 words, so this is actually a challenge for me. I like what I have, so far with the characters. One more character chart and I’ll start working on my scene list. Once that’s done, I’ll start drafting. With it being so short, I’m hoping to get that done in a week or two while the proof-reading of Illusion of Truth is going on.

As I stated in my blog last week, I’m going to be hosting a couple giveaways. The first will be for a signed copy of Heir of Chaos on Goodreads.com. I’ll be giving away 5 of them on July 31st. The second giveaway will be on Amazon.com. I’ll announce that next week.

With all of that going on, I’m still posting parts of the setting. Today are three more of the pantheistic religion. I’m going to start putting up information on Myos during the next update, since that is where the novels take place.
