God of Seasons, Change and Natural Beauty

Holy Symbol: Tree (in various seasonal forms) with clouds and rainbow over it

Church Hierarchy

More than any other priesthood, the priests of Shaimon exemplifies the chaotic essence of nature. There are have positions of authority when needed, and even then it is a fleeting venture. The main exception is the priest who represents them in the Circle of Nine, who is elected for life. The replacement process involves asking priests if they want the job. The one who says he or she wants it first gets the job, and cannot abdicate. The only one to try was found and tied to his chair at the Circle’s table.

Initiation into Priesthood

Initiates must perform the Dance of the Storm. The initiates go out into violent storms and must run through it. They cannot try to hide from the storm, but tame it. Those who survive are taught. The teaching process takes another six months. Priests also perform the Dance, partially to make sure the initiates are doing what they are supposed to, but mostly to enjoy the weather Shaimon has blessed them with.

Initiation into Faithful

Nothing is required to worship Shaimon.

Edicts of Shaimon

  1. The lands we live on are gifts, treat them as such.

  2. The land and the weather are forever merged. Treat the weather as a gift like the land.

  3. All things are in a state of flux. It is the way of things. Do not try to remain constant. To do so is to stagnate, which is against the laws of nature.

  4. Revel in the beauty around you.

Suborders of Priesthood

As each priest is primarily responsible only to their god and there is no real hierarchy or organization to the priesthood, there are no suborders.
