I didn’t have a post for the last quarter of the year for goals, which is silly, since I actually achieved a lot of them. But, since I didn’t post them, how can you know that? Well, we’re just going to have to start the new year off right with a new set of goals and work to meet those.
My goals for the first quarter (January through March) are:
- Finish my first draft of Corruption of Blood. This is a big one, since I’m hoping to release that this year.
- Put together my marketing plan for my publishing business.
- Alpha read Corruption of Blood. I need to get that done, including my edits to get it to my beta readers.
- Read Wit’ch Fire by James Clemens.
- Read Wit’ch Storm by James Clemens.
- Post write ups for three Arcana on the web site.
- Create my e-mail list signup.
- Create my monthly newsletter.
- Post an article weekly on the web site.
- Increase visibility with recommended videos to the blog.
It’s going to be a challenge to do all this, but I’m hopeful that I can get this going. I’ll hopefully be able to send the book out to beta readers this quarter, but I don’t know that I’ll get to that. If you are interested in being a beta reader, let me know in the comment section below.
I’ll start with a world-building video from Jenna Moreci. She’s a fantasy author who is coming out with her second book soon. This is more in the basics of world-building, but she goes into a lot of good information. I suggest you check her out.
Next week, I’m going to start a series on how technology affects the society, beginning with agriculture. The 28th will have a blog on how things are going writing wise, then we’ll go back into the technology series. Thanks for reading. I’ll see you next week.
